- You will get the message with link as ” SkyDrive’s free storage is changing – claim your free 25GB. SkyDrive’s free storage limit is changing to 7GB, but as an existing SkyDrive user you can keep the 25GB you currently have – if you act now. “
- Once you click on the above link you will be redirected to the page where you can choose the kind of upgrade you need. Microsoft offers 4 types of upgrades in which first one is free for 25 GB, second 20 GB extra for $10 per year, third 50GB extra for $25 per year and forth 100GB extra for $50 per year.
- Once you select the free upgrade of your account the message ” You now have 25GB of free Storage” will appear as shown below in the figure.
SkyDrive can be used to store various documents such as pdf, zip, word, excel, presentation etc. It’s password protected and hosted in secured environment. Various Microsoft office documents such as word, excel, presentations can also be created and stored online on SkyDrive. Documents and folders created or stored on SkyDrive can also be shared. This free upgrade is very useful for individuals and small enterprises who need online storage for free.
